WellPoint, IBM Deal To Use IBM’s Watson Technology

U.S. Insurance company Wellpoint Inc. and computer giant IBM has approved a commercially and used by IBM’s Watson technology, which could help doctors identify the best treatment options.
The new system has developed the ability to see large amounts of medical literature and find better treatment solutions, the companies said in a statement.
WellPoint Watson plans to use technology, the name of IBM founder Thomas Watson, early next year and work with physician groups to select the pilot clinic.
